LMK Recruiting is seeking a Senior Commercial Building Engineer for a thriving new opportunity! This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, focusing on ensuring that the building systems and infrastructure function efficiently and effectively. You would ensure that commercial buildings are well-maintained, efficient, and compliant with regulations. The Senior Commercial Building Engineer would play a critical role in optimizing building performance, managing resources, and leading maintenance efforts to provide a safe and comfortable environment for occupants.

Some Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure that the building’s plumbing and electrical systems are properly maintained and operate effectively.
  • Manage and optimize the building’s automation systems for better control of HVAC, lighting, and other systems.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure that building systems remain in good working order.
  • Address and resolve any operational issues or emergencies related to building systems.
  • Monitor energy usage and implement strategies to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs
  • Conduct energy audits and recommend upgrades or modifications to improve building performance.
  • Ensure that all building systems and operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety codes and environmental standards.
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols to protect building occupants and staff.
  • Oversee and manage renovation or upgrade projects related to building systems.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for complex building systems and engineering challenges.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Develop and manage budgets for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades
  • Track expenses and ensure that financial resources are used efficiently.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and maintenance staff.
  • Provide training and support to ensure that team members are skilled and knowledgeable.
  • Prepare detailed reports on building performance, maintenance activities, and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and system modifications.
  • Experience and ability to service, diagnose & repair chillers, boilers, cooling towers, fire/sprinkler, plumbing, electrical, and commercial HVAC equipment.
Requirements:
  • EPA Certification or CFC universal refrigerant card.
  • Multiple years of leadership experience in commercial building maintenance of commercial HVAC.
Schedule and Benefits:
  • M-F 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm; On-call rotation
