Roles and Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate construction contracts, design agreements, and development agreements across various industry sectors.
• Draft and negotiate EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts for large infrastructure and energy projects.
• Advise clients on construction-related legal matters, including change orders, extra work claims, project delays, and construction defects.
• Assist in litigation and arbitration cases, including pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, mediations, and hearings/trials.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local construction and development regulations.
• Work closely with developers, contractors, financial institutions, and public/private sector clients on complex construction matters.

Job Requirements

Education & Licensing

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in construction law.
• Background in construction contracts, real estate development, and construction-related dispute resolution.
• Familiarity with industry-standard agreements (e.g., AIA and similar forms).
• Strong negotiation, drafting, and advisory skills.
• Excellent research, problem-solving, and business judgment abilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience in litigation or arbitration for construction disputes.
• Background in infrastructure, commercial real estate, or energy-related construction law.
• Familiarity with international construction laws and cross-border projects.
