We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to join our team and oversee all aspects of inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels and efficient supply chain operations.
Job Overview:
The Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing the inventory management system, ensuring accurate inventory tracking, and optimizing stock levels across multiple locations. You will lead a team responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, minimizing stockouts and overstocking, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within the organization. This position requires strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate with other departments to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the inventory management process, ensuring accurate and timely tracking of all stock.
- Develop and implement inventory control systems to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory or stockouts.
- Monitor and analyze inventory data to identify trends, make informed decisions, and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with the procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to forecast inventory needs and align stock levels with demand.
- Conduct regular stock audits to verify physical inventory against system records, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Manage the order fulfillment process, ensuring that inventory is properly prepared, packaged, and shipped on time.
- Oversee the storage, handling, and organization of products within the warehouse or storage areas.
- Implement strategies to reduce waste, improve inventory turnover, and increase operational efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices in inventory management and apply them to optimize company processes.
- Prepare and analyze reports on inventory performance, including stock levels, order accuracy, and turnover rates.
- Manage inventory-related data entry, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information in the inventory management system.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of goods and support supply chain operations.
- Lead and train a team of inventory clerks and staff, ensuring adherence to procedures and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience (3+ years) in inventory management, logistics, or supply chain roles, with at least 1 year in a supervisory position.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with other teams.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team to meet company goals and objectives.
- Experience with inventory forecasting, reporting, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
