Roles and Responsibilities:
• Prepare, compound, and dispense medications for patients according to prescriptions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper storage of medications.
• Educate patients on medication usage, interactions, and side effects.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) from an accredited institution.
• Active Registered Pharmacist license in the State of New York (or ability to obtain).
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and pharmacy management systems.
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient Hospital Pharmacy experience.
• Current New York State pharmacist license (or ability to obtain one).
• Ability to work onsite.
• Willingness to work evening shifts.
Nice to have:
• Residency training experience.
• 1+ years of Epic training.
• Retail pharmacy experience.
