We are seeking a Shipping Lead with expertise in continuous improvement and lean methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our shipping operations.
The Shipping Lead will play a crucial role in coordinating logistics within our highly dynamic warehouse, ensuring it meets daily customer demands by fulfilling orders promptly and providing exceptional service in shipping options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily shipping operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Implement lean methodologies to streamline shipping processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance logistics systems and procedures.
- Train and manage shipping team members in lean practices and efficient workflows.
- Analyze and report on shipping metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate lean principles throughout the supply chain.
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and industry regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure smooth operation and cost-efficiency.
- Stay up to date with all changes, regulations, and customer needs.
Qualifications
- Certified in Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
- Customer-first mentality.
- 5+ years of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership role within shipping or logistics.
- Proven track record of implementing successful process improvement initiatives.
- Proficient in logistics and inventory software systems. (Experience with ShipStation is a plus.)
- Strong knowledge of warehouse organization and workflow.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a very fast-paced environment.
- Strong active listening and communication skills.
- Keen focus on details.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Google Spreadsheets.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
