Product Engineer
About the company
Sieve is an AI compute platform for video. Our goal is to build useful primitives to understand, manipulate, and create video so we can accelerate all applications of it. Today, video makes up over 82% of internet traffic and every application of it is growing extremely quickly — media, communications, VR, gaming, robotics, automotive, etc. As these applications grow, the need to process video grows too. At Sieve, we engineer production-grade pipelines to understand, manipulate, and create video — along with flexible abstractions to run custom pipelines. These pipelines power core features in some of the most popular creative and social video platforms in the world and are also helping research teams collect & annotate large datasets to train better video models.
Roles and Responsibilities
We're looking for a Product Engineer to join our team in NYC or SF. This person will focus on the interfaces a developer interacts with when using Sieve, including our frontend dashboard, native Python client, CLI, API, and documentation.
Sieve’s product involves a frontend website + dashboard, a Python client, a CLI, and an API (https://docs.sievedata.com). They'll spend most of their time building improving these things and should have a great knack for what a delightful developer experience feels like.
Our current stack for these things involve Next.js, Python, Go, and Kubernetes though candidates don’t need to be familiar with all of it to start.
