Service Technician

Location: Candidates considered within 40 miles of market area

Schedule:

  • 40+ hours/week (Hours may vary by market)
  • On-Call Availability: Required

Pay Range: $23-38/HR + Potential Bonuses (Dependent on Market)

Job Summary:

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of equipment within your designated market area. This role requires technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, and strong problem-solving skills to ensure equipment is serviced to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair:

    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other commercial equipment.
    • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent breakdowns and ensure equipment operates efficiently.
    • Install new equipment and parts according to company protocols and manufacturer specifications.
  • Customer Interaction:

    • Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and offering solutions to meet their needs.
    • Educate customers on proper equipment usage and maintenance to prolong the life of their systems.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Accurately complete work orders, time sheets, and inventory logs.
    • Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including diagnostics and repairs.
  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Comply with company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the technical support team for complex troubleshooting and repair needs.
    • Collaborate with other technicians to share knowledge and improve service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Commercial HVAC, refrigeration, or a related technical field.
  • Certifications:

    • EPA certification preferred.
    • Additional certifications relevant to HVAC and refrigeration are a plus.
  • Requirements:

    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR check required).
    • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
    • Must pass a Department of Transportation physical exam.
